China, Ministry of health Announcement No. 11 of 2009, approved fructooligosaccharide as a new variety of nutritional fortifier

Announcement No. 6 of 2012 approved the supplement of fructooligosaccharides from sucrose as nutritional enhancers

In Japan, fructooligosaccharides are approved as specific health food

In the United States, FDA recognized fructooligosaccharides as food ingredients of recognized safety grade (GRAS)
